HERO Intelligent has partnered with a renowned international logistics and distribution company to jointly design and operate a bespoke logistics and distribution center in India for a world-leading bearing manufacturer. The facility is primarily used for the storage and distribution of bearing components, ensuring the precise daily delivery of parts to various factories and distributors.

Prior to this, the bearing manufacturer’s existing warehouse utilised traditional floor-stacking storage and manual goods handling, resulting not only in low operational efficiency but also frequent dispatch errors and data discrepancies, which severely impacted delivery timeliness and service quality.

To address these challenges, HERO Intelligent designed a bespoke automated high-bay warehouse for the client. The facility comprises a pallet warehouse with 14,400 storage locations and a bin warehouse with 6,400 storage locations, equipped with intelligent equipment such as double-deep stackers, forklift-type AGVs, backpack-type AGVs, robotic arms and conveyors to achieve automated inbound and outbound operations.

Project Highlights:

1. Highly automated inbound and outbound processes, with AGVs handling transfer operations; visual recognition technology is used for inbound inspection, significantly improving verification accuracy;

2. Provision of diversified value-added services, achieving integrated operations for automatic box opening, bagging, and sorting/packaging, effectively enhancing service value;

3. Streamlined workforce, reducing the team from 230 to 20 staff. This has significantly lowered labor costs whilst substantially improving operational efficiency and accuracy.
